A team knockout competition will be played during the season
A draw to take place by the two captains placing players into the schedule set 1 to 9 by randomly drawing lots/tags/tokens before the start of the match. (As in regular season matches)
Format of play shall be :-
Straight singles sets, best of 3 legs. Away team throwing first in the first set. Then alternating first throw in each set thereafter. If in any set the score is one leg each, winner of the first leg in that set throws first for nearest the bullseye to decide the first thrower in leg 3.
Points are awarded to the winning team of each set using the ‘Kessler’ system as displayed below:-
Winner of set one - 1 point awarded
Winner of set two - 2 points awarded
Winner of set three - 3 points awarded
Winner of set four - 4 points awarded
Winner of set five - 5 points awarded
Winner of set six - 6 points awarded
Winner of set seven - 7 points awarded
Winner of set eight - 8 points awarded
Winner of set nine - 9 points awarded
With 45 points available to win, the winner of the match is the team that finishes with 23 points or more at the conclusion of the nine sets. The winning team advances to the next round of the competition.
A draw will be done for each round of the competition.
